Education and Outreach
Heritage Conservancy offers speaking engagements and various educational public programs throughout the year for groups, including municipal officials and schools. To learn more, call us at 215-345-7020.
Speaking Engagements:
We are often asked to speak before a variety of groups at the national, state and local level about our areas of expertise on environmental issues and conservation projects. If you are looking for a speaker, contact us to discuss your specific topic and event need.
Programs for Schools:
Heritage Conservancy offers “Learning Beyond the Classroom” activities, which are educational opportunities that can supplement a teacher or school’s in-class curriculum. Heritage Conservancy hosts field trips to preserved properties as well as in-school presentations. We can work with your school to supplement curriculum learning through a broad variety of topic offerings.
As well as these outreach opportunities, we offer a comprehensive set of teaching materials in support of wetlands education in the classroom featuring one of our Lasting Landscapes® areas, the Quakertown Swamp. Materials include handouts and a PowerPoint presentation that highlight the swamp as an example of a vital ecosystem in our region.
To learn more about any of these educational or field trip opportunities, call us at 215-345-7020.
